Frequently Asked Questions
What services does AstiNova Therapy Partners provide?
We provide school-based speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and school psychology services. Our team supports districts through direct and indirect therapy, evaluations, consultations, and compliance support—virtually or on-site.
Which states do you serve?
We currently serve schools and districts across Massachusetts, South Carolina, and California. Our founder and clinicians hold active state licensure and meet all state and district-specific compliance requirements.
How is AstiNova Therapy Partners different from other staffing agencies?
We’re provider-run, not agency-managed. Every decision is guided by licensed clinicians who understand school-based practice. That means better communication, smoother integration, and services designed around student outcomes—not corporate quotas.
How does the contracting process work?
After an initial consultation, we’ll review your district’s caseload needs, timelines, and service goals. You’ll receive a clear proposal outlining available clinicians, rates, and deliverables. Once approved, we handle onboarding, communication, and coordination so services start seamlessly.
Do you offer virtual and on-site therapy?
Yes. We offer both virtual (teletherapy) and on-site services depending on your district’s needs. Typically our virtual SLPs are able to onboard within a few days of a contract being signed.
Are your clinicians qualified to work in schools?
Yes. Every clinician holds state licensure in their discipline and the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
In Massachusetts, clinicians also hold or are eligible for a DESE Educator License and have passed the MTEL Communication and Literacy Skills test.
All providers maintain up-to-date background checks (CORI, SAFIS/IdentoGO, Live Scan, or SLED/FBI, depending on state requirements). California providers have an active and recent TB test to comply with state law.
What steps do you take to ensure compliance?
Compliance is central to our work. We maintain detailed documentation, track service delivery, and ensure all timelines align with IEP and state requirements. We also provide documentation support, supervision, and regular communication to keep districts audit-ready.
What types of placements can you fill?
We offer coverage for short-term leaves, long-term vacancies, evaluation-only contracts, and ongoing service partnerships. Our flexibility allows districts to stay compliant and maintain continuity of services year-round.
How quickly can services begin?
Most placements can begin within 1–2 weeks once a contract is finalized and background checks are complete. We prioritize smooth transitions to avoid service interruptions for students. For specialty cases, AstiNova Therapy Partners will reqruit trained and skilled specialists if they do not already have someone on staff or open for assignment.
Do you provide supervision or support for SLPAs?
Yes. Licensed SLPs on our team provide supervision for SLPAs and support for district-employed staff as needed. Our supervision model ensures consistency and alignment with state standards.
How does billing and invoicing work?
Billing is simple and transparent. We invoice monthly based on services rendered, in accordance with your district’s purchase order or contract terms.
Who manages communication with district staff and families?
Our clinicians integrate directly with your team, maintaining open communication with educators, administrators, and families. We believe partnership and transparency are key to student progress and program success.
